Ed Schuler has been involved in photography since a teenager. He grew up in Virginia’s famous Shenandoah Valley surrounded by scenic rolling hills, mountains and picturesque farms. His father provided him a darkroom and a wide variety of small to large format film cameras to use. His older brother Ken, a well known professional artist, was gifted with the talent to draw and paint. Ed, influenced by his brother, instead has used cameras to capture events and tell stories of the people and places he has lived and visited. Choosing to settle in the Carolinas for most of his adult life he now uses modern digital technologies along with his passion for photographic art to show a glimpse of how he sees them and the beautiful, surrounding creations.
